heart shaped ribbon key ring...1 shade only. the wallet and camera pouch in similar material was a previous No. 1 but is now out of stock.

A day out shopping on a usually work day

Its Friday!! and I decided to give myself a little break. Headed down to Orchard around 11am. All in all, I spent 5 hours.

The first thing was to drop by my friend's place at Scotts Square. she's not there. Feeling hungry, I dropped by Far East to have my lunch.

I hadn't collect my sun glasses from Sunny of Sunny Eyewear and I thought its time. Sunny gives very good rate and even provides changing of lens without buying any frames. I once bought a frame from Bugis at S$10 and fixed the lens for $60, so all it costed me was a mere S$70. I could be paying 2-3 times more at any other specs shop. When I reached the shop, the fine print on the door stated Sunny Eye wear is open from 3pm - 9pm. Damn it! I missed it again.

Nevermind, I though its time I am to pamper myself. I picked up my favourite Brown Rice Green Tea with Pudding from Chatime @ Tangs basement.

I like it for its strong frangrance with a slight sweetness from the pudding. And yes, I prefer 0% sugar.

Of course, I have to drop by Samantha Thavasa to check out their latest collection and promotion. Samantha Thavasa is giving out $80 voucher for their specially brought in Samantha Silva collection with minimum purchase of S$300. Samantha Silva is selling at a price of Yen 12,000 to 26,000 which is around S$200 to S$435. Lovely SA, Candy told me ST Japan only sent over limited stocks and the necklaces have received overwhelming response.

Check out how pretty the necklaces are on me. I love the rose gold ones.

Followed up, I dropped by Samantha Vega since they are giving lucky draw with every purchase of S$300 and above. The prizes range from candies (Samantha Sweets) to SV bags.

Since I am already at Isetan Wisma, I popped by Ettusais to try out their latest limited edition cheek color. Looks just like the cappuccino design with 4 hearts. Available in Orange and Pink. Easy naming I love it! Priced at S$29 each.

This limited edition cheek color is mixed with highlighting powder and hence, the shimmering effect. I am definitely wanting this one..its pretty in design as well as the color. I am a warm tone so I should go for the orange.

Finally I dropped by Paul and Joe to pick up the latest Kitten Collection. Check out my earlier blog here on the swatches. Sandly I was hinted that Paul and Joe may pull out of Singapore. This may very well be the last limited editions PJ is bringing into Sg.

PAUL and JOE Kitten Collection: Matte Pressed Powder is no ordinary pressed powder. On the cover, is the print of an innocent looking kitten, the same one printed on the box. The sponge applicator is printed with a kitten's paw and outlined too! Use the side underneath which is smoother and does not damage the paw print. The combination of fair and medium tone suits fair to medium skin. I tried doing some swatches but wasn't able to show up in picture, thus I did not post it.

Simplist Garment Steamer SS13 in Blushy Pink

I dropped by Tangs sale last Thursday and guess what I bought? Yes!! Its a steam iron also known as a garment steamer. I could take it no more with the traditional iron that I had motivated myself to pick up this new tool ^_^ It was super crowded in the confined spaces after working hours and the SAs were surrounded by eager buyers. There are a few brands at Tangs that carry garment steamer. I compared Simplist by Novita, Novita and Philips. I like Philips for its compact size and lightweight. However, I decided to settle for Simplist, simply because it comes in pink and has a aluminium iron head. I was told by Simplist SA that a plastic iron head can do the work just fine but requires more effort. This was the last pink piece at Tangs and it is so so so Hello Kitty in my opinion. I so want to use it more.

This is the 1st test object. A 100% polyester dress that no matter how, I was not able to straighten it with traditional iron. Look at the crease on the dress...

Now, move the steamer head in up down movement.

After a couple of seconds, here's the result!! Total ceaseless!! Love it to the fullest!!

Product review: Bigen Prominous Color - Milky 5-43

After a good experience with self dye hair product, I am now enjoying dying my hair at home. Bigen Prominous Color Hair Dye seriously looks like any of those old school type. It comes with:

a tube of color cream
a bottle of developer (with a comb applicator)
gloves
instructions

Bigen Prominous Color is now selling at Watsons at S$25 for 2 boxes.

Forget about the strong aroma scent hair dyes used to carry. This one is mildly scented with a hint of floral.

The white lotion at the bottom is the developer and the yellow on top of the white is the dye cream.

The cap of the bottle doubles up as a comb with holes so that the dye can penetrate. This simple invention makes things super easy and drip free. All I need to do is to first, segregate my hair into portions, squeeze a little so that the dye stays at the tips of the comb teeth (just like in this picture), brush from the roots of my hair. Repeat the actions 1-2 times till satisfied result is achieved and move on to other parts of the hair.

And here's the result. My hair has been all along this dry so I don't think its too much due to the dyes.

The texture~ Lightweight and smooth

What I think~ ETTUSAIS eye zone massaging essence is gel based. Highly hydrated, a tiny dot works well for both eyes. It allows sufficient time to work around the eyes yet absorbs without a trace. Night use only, it has glucosyl hesperidin which promotes blood circulation. ETTUSAIS eye zone massaging essence targets puffiness and treats dark eye circles. I guess the tiny glitters serve a purpose to brighten the skin tone.

Keep it Simple

Since my Italy trip in October last year, my skin had been in the most drained out condition. Lack of love, lack of care, lack of everything.

I had since work on it with a simple routine. Lots of water, plenty of sleep and a simple skincare routine. I figured the skin should not be overly stressed by layers of creams and lotions. Afterall, the skin absorbs only the 1st layer best.

My skin has since returned to its normal conditions after about 1-2 months. Here's what I did.

A very Happy Chinese New Year to my readers. This year, having the 1st day of CNY falling on a Monday and the 2nd on a Tuesday, we get a straight 4 days off work. My family decided to spend the holi in Siem Reap, Cambodia. A country we know so little.

The climate there now is in its cooling months..it is generally 30-33 degrees. The sun is always bright when it is not raining. The nights can be hot and stuffy. I was glad I had forgotten my perfume cos towards the end of the day, everybody stinks. LOL! Sunscreen, hats and sunglasses are my best friends during the trip.

The wats (temples) are indeed beautiful structures for photo taking. Expect lots of Chinese tourists. The guides are well versed in languages. They are very professional and understanding people.

This place is very much foreign aided. The guide repeatedly told us this road is built by the French, that wat is conserved by the Germans...etc. I so feel like doing volunteerism. Lots of forested areas. Still, very little pollution of human waste and I hope it is still kept this way. As tourist, we have our part to play.

Shu Uemura Spring 2012 Celestial Garden Collection is fun-filled with juicy colors.

Creamy Dome Cheek Blusher is cream based but turns powdery upon application. I was expecting the lazy me can run it over my cheeks and thats it. No-no, makeup is never about laziness. After running, its always a reminder to blend the colors to smooth out the texture. Comes in 2 colors - Sunlight Peach and Fairy Pink. Both colors stands out on my medium tone skin. What do you think? Retails at S$39 each.

Gloss Unlimited, similiarly is available in pink (Blooming Pink) and orange (Corona Orange). The colors looks intense in my picture, but they are really beautiful colors that is a little sheer and appears very natural on the lips. Retails at S$39 each.

There is no doubt I love all the colors in the Rouge Unlimited range. All rouges in this range has tiny little glitters in them for the outshine effect.

The only items that I do not fancy in this collection is the eye shadow trios. The payoff offer is not attractive except of a few colors, the purple for instance is the best of all the 9 colors and is truely very nice. No matter how I twisted my pic, the colors just won't show. They are made dismentable but sells in sets of fixed colors. Retails for S$65 each.

Winter season has kicked in and though we do not have winter in Singapore, lips need the extra moisture lock in to maintain its suppleness nevertheless.

Fancl and Ettusais, both Japanese brands provide very good lip treatment essence. Not only they protect, they lock in, they gives a very appealing appearance as well.

I have began the year with yet again, my favourite pink color. Taken against my pink laptop and pink keypad ^_^ This is a fairly easy to do design.

First I brushed the whole nail with a base coat. I next sweep about 1/3 of the nails in OPI Teenage Dream (pink with silver glitters). Do about 2-3 coats as the color on its own is quite sheer. Glide over the interception with Canmake Crystal Silver (transparent with silver glitters). And tatar! Finish off with a coat of top coat.

Celebrity make-up artist Troy Surratt collaborated with Juicy Couture and came up with a series of lip gloss creations for last Christmas. A chain with 3 charms attached to it and a transparent lip gloss with glitters in marshmallow flavour, this chain doubles up as a bracelet and a charm chain for bags. Do note that its for small wrist only. A few days into the new year and this holiday special is going at 30% off its original price of S$40. This is probably one of my greatest find lately.

The Body Shop is having a massive sale on the ground floor event space of Plaza Sg. The discount is as much as 70%. Now till this Sun.

Most items on sale are shower gels, body scrubs, body butter, miniatures, a small range of Vitamin E and Tea Tree products, cosmetics, skincare and some off the shelves products. The kabuki brush which usually sells at $20 something is also on sale at S$16.90. Eco range of shampoos and conditioners, 60ml each are available at 4 for $10. If you work that out, its about 30% cheaper than getting the big 400ml size from shops. Shower gels are mostly S$12.90. Body scrub and butter, in smaller tub, are 'get 2 for S$12'.

I found my favourite Moroccan Rose Bath and Massage Oil which was taken off the shelve last year. Original retailing at S$22.90 and now it is going for just S$12.90.

Whispers soon spread like fire. This amazing product is sold out on its official website as well as Sephora. This face illuminator adds a soft rosy bronze glow. It has a silver base and reflects a frosty shade. It is impressive for fair skin and appears a little closer to medium and dark skin natural color, creating a natural glow. The texture is buttery soft and smooth. Surprisingly long lasting as it lasted the whole day on my cheeks.

Mac X Gareth Pugh Collection

Since MAC X Gareth Pugh Collection launched in Tangs, I haven't got a chance to pop by till somewhere a couple of weeks ago. The collection is somewhat surrounding plum and metallic grey. I was initially attracted to Ardent, the plum colored eyeshadow. The color somehow turned to a maroon wine color on my medium tone skin. My personal fave is Stada, the blusher and Vacant, the lip gloss and Restrict, the lip stick (not shown). This collection is limited and about 1/3 of the items were sold out when I visited. I guess the super selling point of this collection is its super heavy casing, adding to its metallic sense. However, it may appears a putoff since it may be too heavy to carry around.

Gareth Pugh is a British fashion designer. His design is being described as a "wearable piece of art". He began his career as a costume designer at the age of 14. He roared to fame after his solo premiere in London Fall 2006 Fashion Week. celebrities like Kylie Minogue (In My Arms MV), Roisin Murphy (Overpowered Album), Beyonce (2008 MTV Awards and Sweet Dreams, Diva and Girls Run the World MV) and even Lady Gaga (Bad Romance) wore his designs. He opened his first boutique in Hong Kong in 2010.

The latest Benefit Hervana is a blusher. Its unique 4 colors - lucky shell, divine peach, heavenly rose and berry delight are segregated in 8 sections providing a more natural and balance 3D satin finish.

The overall color turnout to be peachy pink. The texture is creamy without shimmers. Comparing with Benefit recent blusher releases, Hervana has a tone in between Sugarbomb and Bellabamba. While Sugarbomb may be a little on the orange side and Bella Bamba is towards orange red. Benefit Hervana is great on fair skin!!

Benefit Hervana is said to be released in January. However, this lovely new blusher is already launched on its website.

Singapore Noodles and what is it?

Well traveled Singaporeans should be familiar with this dish named "Singapore Noodles". It is a common menu dish in Chinese restaurants. Often, it is a plate of stir-fried vermicelli with curry powder. Ingredients can vary from chopped vegetables to pork to seafood.

There is even packet noodle named "Singapore Noodles".

The only problem is that this dish is not known to authentic Singaporeans. Widely common at our zhi cha stalls (available at most coffee shops or hawker centers), is something that is entirely different...星州米粉 (Sin Chew Bee Hoon). This is a greasy stir-fried vermicelli with egg, char siew (bbq pork) and chopped lettuce. There is absolutely NO CURRY!

I came across an interest article by The Traveling Hungry Boy. He wrote about his first impression about Singapore Noodles.

And there is also an online recipe by Rhonda Parkinson. There are 5 stars given to this recipe...arrrr...I believe it must be absolutely good then. Here, I have it copied. If you have cooked it, I would love to hear about it ^_^

Ingredients:

1/4 pound thin rice stick noodles (rice vermicelli)
1 pound medium shrimp
2 cups mung bean sprouts
1 red bell pepper
2 cups shredded Napa cabbage
2 carrots
2 green onions
3 teaspoons minced ginger
1/4 cup water or chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon soft brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
4 tablespoons vegetable oil for stir-frying
1 1/2 tablespoons curry powder (Vietnamese brands are good), or to taste

Preparation:

Soak the rice noodles in warm water for 15 - 20 minutes, or until they have softened. Drain the noodles in a colander. Prepare the remainder of the ingredients while the noodles are soaking.

Shell and devein the shrimp if needed. Soak the shrimp in warm salted water for 5 minutes. Drain thoroughly.

Clean all the vegetables. Rinse and drain the mung bean sprouts. Cut the red bell pepper in half, remove the seeds and cut into thin strips. Shred the Napa cabbage. Peel the carrots and cut into thin slices. Cut the green onion into thin slices. Mince the ginger.

Prepare the sauce by whisking together the water or chicken broth with the brown sugar and salt and pepper. Set aside.

Heat the wok over medium-high to high heat. Add 2 tablespoons oil. When the oil is hot, add the shrimp. Stir-fry the shrimp until they turn pink. Remove from the wok.

Heat 2 tablespoons oil in the wok. When the oil is hot, add the curry powder. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds, then add the ginger and stir-fry until the ginger is aromatic. Stir-fry the vegetables, beginning with the carrot, then adding the red bell pepper, and the Napa cabbage. Stir in the bean sprouts. Stir-fry for about 20 seconds and then add the shrimp back into the pan with the noodles. Stir in the green onions.
Pour the sauce over, tossing the ingredients so that they are absorbed with the sauce. Add a bit more water or chicken broth if the mixture becomes too dry. Taste and adjust the seasoning , adding more sugar, salt, pepper or curry powder as desired. Cook until the sauce is absorbed. Serve hot.

JILL STUART Face A to Z Mook "憧れの“JILL顔”レシピA to Z" is the 3rd mook released by Jill Stuart. With Kino 20% discount, I paid S$29++ for it.

The print for this mook is what is to be expected for their 2012 Spring Collection.

Featured model for 2012 Spring Collection.

Limited edition Crystal Eye Jewel (eye shadow palette) and Mix Blush Compact (compact cheek blusher) as shown here. The cover is imprinted with floral design specially cater for 2012 Spring.

The new collection features a lot on orange besides the usual pink. For the 1st time, JS is introducing a orange colored Jelly Eye Color N (not pictured here). There is also the violet nail enamel which I quite look forward to.

The mook comes with a vanity case and a pouch. Both in 2012 Spring collection print. The vanity case measures 18.5 x 17 x 16 cm, quite roomy and tall.

I have no idea why is one of the J zipper is flipping the wrong side. Usually the gwp from Jill Stuart has better quality zippers and affixed with a crystal.

There is a zipper netted compartment underneath the cover. Surrounding my bottles of stuffs are 3 compartments that is great for slot in.

The flat pouch can easily fits in a iphone and still leaves plenty of room for other stuffs.

SLEEK Original i-Divine Palette vs Oh So Special i-Divine Palette

SLEEK Original i-Divine Palette doesn't print the names of each color. For a list of the colors and description on SLEEK Oh So Special i-Divine Palette, check out my earlier post here. There are 2 repeated colors which are Noir - matt black and Geteau - metallic pastel pink.

The colors in the Original palette are mostly metallic except for the black whereas in Oh So Special, there is a good mixture of matt and metallic.

All colors give a good payout. That is why I love SLEEK palettes!

2011 X'mas Nails - Edition 2 with Canmake, OPI and China Glaze

I happened to drop by Jurong Point 2 weeks ago and bumped into Smoochiezz at a fair. Smoochiezz is highly recommended for its wide range of cosmetics and nail polishes at affordable prices. During the fair, they marked down the nail polishes prices and I paid only S$10 to S$11 for a OPI and S$7 for a China Glaze.

Missing the excitement? Smoochiezz is making another appearance at Jurong Point from 2 Jan - 22 Jan 2012.

Eye make up review: How to put on false eye lashes

I have always been skeptical about putting on false eyelashes. One day while shopping at Daiso, I decided to pick one up and give it a try. Anyway, its only $2.

This is what I did.

1) Lined the eyes with black liquid eyeliner.

2) Measure the lashes. Trim off lashes by lashes if the lashes are wider than my eyes. In this case I did not since the lashes I bought its not full length.

3) Get a really good glue. I recommend using one with a brush. A brush gives a good control of the amount of glue to be applied on the lashes. If yours does not comes with a brush, squeeze onto the back of your hand and run the lashes along it. Do take extra note to make sure glue is evenly distributed on the lashes, especially both ends.

4) Pick up the lashes with fingers. Tweezers may be beneficial.

5) Put the lashes above my natural lash line and as close as possible. Do take note of the angle as we do not want to be seen with different eye sizes. Press it down once the position is fixed. Hold on for at least 15 seconds, which again depends on the drying speed of the glue.

6) Once the eyelashes is set, coat it with mascara against my natural lashes. It is beneficial to press the eyelashes when coating with mascara.

7) Touch up with eyeliner if necessary.

Eye make up review: How to make eyes sparkle?

Always want that eyes that sparkles and yet to keep a low profile? Today I tried a low profile glitterish on an otherwise blue Monday. The colors used are lime green and purple from SLEEK original i-divine palette.

Can you tell the difference??

The right eye (facing you) is dabbed with silvery white glitters in the center of the eye lid ^_^. A little dab of glitters in matching color always bring out the dimension and divert the attention from under eye circles, puffiness...etc. I always use a good primer to lock in the colors and a beige or skin tone shadow beneath the brows to raise the brows. Incorporate with eyeliner and mascara to finish the look.

SAMANTHA THAVASA 2011 Winter Collection Mook

Sorry gals, I picked up the last 3 copies of Samantha Thavasa 2011 Winter Collection mook from Kino today. Samantha Thavasa 2011 Winter Collection is the 1st mook to be released in Singapore. Arrived yesterday and was fully reserved. I couldn't make it on the reservation list and had to purchase walk in at Bugis Kino.

Worry not, new stocks are arriving next week, either Weds or Fri. Reservation allows only at Kino Ngee Ann branch.

The bag that comes with the mook is 8 D x 15.5 H x 18.5 W cm. Its super small in my opinion but I love the cute print on the canvas material.

For the benefit of my readers, here are some of the Samantha Thavasa bags in the mook but...sadly not all are available in Singapore. I do hope they can bring in more, especially the pink ones.

X'mas Nails - Edition 1 Water marble nail art with China Glaze, KiKO & Ettusais nail enamel

Ruby Pumps from China Glaza is my latest favourite for Christmas. I picked it up somewhere in Oct from Watsons @ S$18. The sparkling red simply stands out from the rest of the colors.

And because it is extremely time consuming, I only managed to play with water marble nail art on 2 of my nails per hand, and finished the rest with solid colors.

Colors I used:

Red - Ruby Pumps from China Glaza
Purple - KIKO 254 Red Wine Microglitter
Orange - Ettusais (this is a very old shade and probably off the shelves)

Tips for the water marble nail art:

Room temperture water
Good nail polish that spreads out
Lots of patience

Majolica Majorca has expanded the range of colors for its Lash Expander Frame Plus mascara. A Christmas special edition for 2011, Mojolica has turned it into mysterious night blue this time round. I tested the color on skin as it appears a little reflective. On lashes, however, it appears as dark navy blue which is on the very safe side.

Lots of micro fibers in almost black color are present in the mascara boosting a very natural extension to the lashes.

I am a great fan of Majolica mascara personally. Majolica started off the comb applicator when many other brands can only provide the brush type and Mojolica enhances its comb applicator with every new edition (minus special editions). Usually I will first coat my lashes with the back of the comb and brush outwards using the longer and thinner comb teeth to lengthen and separates the lashes.

I dropped by Sephora over the weekends and came across Tokidoki Arte Palette for 2011 holiday. Each palette comes with 4 eye colors and 1 blush color. Priced at a affortable price of S$15, not a far fetch from US$10.

The name of the palettes are printed in white text, Need a bit of eye work to spot the names.

Shiseido Maquillage released its holiday 2011 makeup collection in Japan on 21st November. This set is now available at most Shiseido counters in Singapore with limited stock. Priced at S$140 per set.

Shiseido Maquillage Aura Beauty set comes in a black box with Aura Beauty pressed face powder, a powder grinder, a face brush, a mirror and a clutch. As far as I can see, the theme is mirror black and crystal clear.

Aura Beauty pressed face powder, made up of seven colours to target at different problems in order to achieve an ideal skin texture. The colors can be used alone or mix together. I was lured to its pleasant but faint floral scent which is not overpowering.

The mirror and casing is made of high grade plastic with shiny surface. Extra care is required as finger printing is made easy.

The crystals on the casing are in clear and peach colors.

The crystals on the pouch is really classy in clear color of different shapes and sizes.

The interior of the pouch is made of plastic sheet, like those we get from the mook bags.

From the marketing pictures, I had earlier presumed that the base is faux fur. Instead it is made of PVC leather.

The thoughtful Japanese even caters pouch space for its other occupants.

Its always exciting when JILL STUART holiday collection arrives. This year's set comes with 7 items: pouch, 2 fragrance sachets, hair accessory, loose powder, Jewel Crystal Eye (eye shadow palette) and a mini lip gloss. A switch from 2007's red theme, 2008's dark shade theme, 2009 and 2010 pink theme, 2011 Fairy Garden Collection features coral theme.The concept for Fairy Garden Collection is tulle and tulle netting as seen on the pouch, on the frangrance sachets and on the hair accessory.

The pale lilac loose powder N in 101 twinkle dust is slightly shimmery, which gives a fairer appearance and added radiance.

The lip gloss is 103 crystal kiss. A pastel pink with fine glitters which gives a juicy lip appearance. On the cover of the lip gloss is a rainbow clear crystal.

I have not used the Jewel Crystal Eye in 104 fragile opal. From what I see, all the colors are glittery, and more glittery. The colors from left is white, pale mint green, coral and burgundy brown. The mint green is a little brave move from the usual pink and purple shades.

All colors in this set are limited editions. Jill Stuart Christmas sets is always a good buy considering the relatively good price. Even with shipment cost included, it still cost relatively lower (30% - 60%) than most of the other counter brands Christmas sets here.

Releasing today in Japan is Happy Tree Friends mook. Retail price as Yen 1365 (about S$21). Being a Happy Tree Friends fan for some years now, it always give me laughter with its gluesome images of the characters. They are always so cute and horrifying. I am always happy to stock up this mook. Nonetheless, I hope that the images on the bag is more on the gluesome side of the characters.

Majolica Majorca 2011 Christmas limited editions are now available at all Watsons stores. The 2 lip glosses (S$12.90 each) are very much sheer colors. The peachy orange is slightly tinted while the sheer pink has pink sparkles in it.

PUPA nail art kit limited edition like OPI shatter review

PUPA has recently launched a nail art kit and still available in some Watsons store. It comes with 2 bottles - a normal enamel and a crack enamel. I would say this kit is good for people who wants to try out the cracking nail art. It saves the trouble of mixing and matching the colors and even comes with clear instructions.

The base color is rather thick and covers well for just 1 coat.

The cracks are rather irregular and wide apart. Comparing to OPI shatter and The Faceshop crack enamel, PUPA crack enamel is rather thick and thus, the cracks appears rather unexpected. See here for The Faceshop crack enamel.

Priced at Yen 6825, Lunasol’s Tender Glow Collection is definitely worth every cent. Comes with a eye shadow palette, a cream cheek blush, a lip gloss and a face powder.

The eye shadow palette is a mixture of gradient brown and pastel. The lip gloss is milky pink which gives the lips a sheer full boost. The cream blush gives a sweet pinkish shine to the cheeks with gold pearl. This popular translucent powder comes in mini size, good for the purse, adds shine and elegance. As the name suggest, this is a tender glow set, expect nothing less than glowing elegance.

CANMAKE Moist Souffle Eye Shadow

Soft and fluffy, like the French cake - Sofflé, CANMAKE latest eye shadow is just as the name suggested. Available in 3 colors, Pink, Brown and Yellow. The tester @ Watsons actually tells that pink being the most popular.

All colors contain gold glitters that give the skin color a good warm glow. Pink and Yellow can be quite sheer and requires more coating. I actually applied 3 or 4 coats for it to show. Brown is well pigmented and requires only 2 coats.

My personal favourite is yellow and pink.

Not forgeting to mention, Canmake Moist Souffle Shadow contains 7 beautifying and moisturizing agents:

hyaluronic acid,
royal jelly extract,
honey,
squalane,
rosemary extract,
aloe vera leaf extract,
saxifrage extract.

I came across Goldiestarling makeup tutorial on Smoky Eyes. Being a newbie with smoky eyes, I decided to follow her tutorial.

And...here's my result.

I am using Wrapped Up (2nd from right on the bottom row) and Noir (right most on the bottom row) from the SLEEK Oh So Special i-Divine palette.

Other items I am using are Too Faced Eye Insurance, Paul and Joe Parasol 003 Beams, Paul and Joe 2011 Holiday limited edition pressed powder, Majolica Majolica mascara base, Anna Sui Perfect Mascara and Anna Sui pencil eye liner.

My verdict:
The price~Steep
The fragrance~ Very natural light and refreshing scent
The color~ Mint green.
The texture~ Lightweight and smooth
What I think~ Equipped with age-fighting Rexaline Complex, light-reflecting nacres (a pearlizing ingredient), and calming texture to instantly moisturize and illuminate the eye area, this product is lightweight and so smooth that I can even run my fingers around the delicate eye areas. I am having some fine lines underneath and dark eye circles. The hydrating formula is a relieve to dry itchy eyes. I have used it for 2 weeks and the article states improvement is seen after 8 weeks which I am patiently waiting. The tightening effect is impressive. No comments on the dark eye circles.

Its no secret that Jill Stuart will be releasing eau de parfum "Vanilla Lust" on 2 Dec 2011. Pricing at Yen 8400 got 50ml and 6300 for 30ml. Jill Stuart released "Vanilla Lust" somewhere in 2005 / 2006. Check out here. It had received popular feedback but due to unknown reasons, it has been discontinued. As you observed, the bottle this time round resembles the old bottle, especially the bottle cap looks almost identical.

I read that the fragrance is not entirely identical. Nevertheless, we shall wait and try out ourselves :)

Eye makeup review: Sleek Oh So Special i-Divine palette

This is the first makeup I attempt with Sleek Oh So Special i-Divine palette. The colors on my eyes are Organza, Ribbon, Gift Basket and Celebrate.

Organza is a metallic peach color (2nd from top left)
Ribbon is a matt salmon pink (right hand side of Organza)
Gift Basket is a metallic beaver brown (right hand side of Ribbon)
Celebrate is a metallic burgundy purple (1st from top right)

From the inner corner of my upper eyelid, I applied Organza and the rest of the eye lid is sweep with Ribbon. On the contour, starting from the outer corner of my upper eyelid, I sweep on Gift Basket. Lined with Celebrate.

Finish off with Anna Sui pencil eye liner and perfect mascara.

Here is what I used for my face and eyes. Shiseido Styling Keep Base UV is used prior using Paul and Joe 2011 Holiday Collection pressed powder.

The much talk about SLEEK MAKEUP Oh So Special i-Divine Palette is a fav one cant miss. Recently added to their classic collection, this palette fits the perfect mood for Fall / Winter. Natural pastel shades (not as nude as Au Natural i-Divine Palette), this palette comprises of a mixture of glossy and matt finish.

I can't hold my excitement the moment I get hold of my Oh So Special palette and I started swatching. This is how it turns out on my medium tone Asian skin.

I spotted this 345 Jade Green from a wide range of KIKO nail collection and it is "love at 1st sight". The color is a cross over between CHANEL Jade and CHINA GLAZE Re-fresh Mint. Cream base by nature. This shade appears close to a Tiffany blue when applied on the toe nails and viewed from a distance.
